Intensive gardeningThis experience of growing sweet corn intercalated with pot beans, theoretically very productive is a failure. (Photo against) The plants were far too close together. The yield was very low and much of the maize went down after a heavy rain because of a weakness in the root system.

Spacing between plants recommended for intensive planting methods

This is a frequently asked question by people beginning with the methods of raised flowerbeds, mulching, mounds in lasagna and other intensive gardening methods. Seed suppliers do not seem to have noticed that many people were turning to intensive methods and not giving this information about seed packages. This table is from the Arizona State University Agricultural website. So it should be reliable information.  The data matches my own experience.
